Point system is totally deferent than cash credits. Points are given on the basis of standard of your contribution or related posts, where the cash credits are like a awards/bonus based on the value of your posts.

Welcome to IRC. No you have got it wrong. Points are meant to help you get to those higher levels of membership. But cash credits have nothing to do with points. You get 5 points as default for every review and product submission. But cash credits are offered only when the posts are approved. Additionally apart from cash credits, you also get additional points anything from 5 to 25, depending on the kind of product submission and quality of product submission you do. I suggest you go through the New Member FAQ before getting started, for complete understanding of how points and cash credit system works on IRC. Wish you all the best with it.
