 On August 15th 2010, TVS Electronics,which manufactures IT peripherals, released a prototype for the first keyboard with Indian rupee symbol.
The first keyboard with Indian rupee symbol is named TVS Gold Bharat.
The new Indian rupee symbol in the keyboard has been put on the key above the Tab key.
TVS Electronics is now awaiting an operating software to incorporate a font in their system by which the new key, when tapped, will print the symbol. Another unique aspect is that the TVS Gold Bharat keyboard also has language keys of Indian languages. So in addition to English, there are language keys of: Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Assamese language keys.
TVS Gold Bharat keyboard is only available at TVS Electronics stores across the country.

Good: currency symbol and local language key format
Bad: position of the rupee key disturbing the usual arrangement
it is the hottest product as per its specification is concerned as it suits the common man and the local stage as it is supporting the local languages and the currency symbol of our country.however it is still waiting for the OS supporting that makes it unimplementable as of now becoz with put OS support it is of now use and the position of the special key (rupee)
can be an issue |
