 About Matheran
Matheran is the well-known hill station located at Karjat, Maharashtra. It is one of the smallest Hill Stations in India. This hill station is located around 88 m above sea level. Due to its proximity to Mumbai and Pune, Matheran happens to be one of the most popular getaways for weekends.
The Ministry of Environment and Forest has declared Matheran as a Eco-Sensitive Region. It is one of the few known places in India where vehicles are just not allowed, which just makes Matheran completely unique.
