Pobitara Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Marigaon district of Assam in India. It is about 60 kilometers east of Guwahati. It covers an area of 38.8 square kilometer. It was declared as a reserve forest in 1971 and a wildlife sanctuary in 1981.

Animals: Pobitara is famous for its Indian One Horned Rhinoceros. The other animals found here are Asiatic Buffalow, Leopard, Wild bear, Civet cat and Wild pig.
Birds: Around 375 species of migratory and native birds of 46 families are found here.
Reptiles: 27 species of reptiles have been recorded in this sanctuary.
