Corbett National Park is named after the famous naturalist as well as a hunter Jim Corbett. Corbett National Park is the oldest Wild life Sanctuary in India and is spread over 1200 sq kilometers. The Corbett National Park was earlier known as Hailey National park and the Ramganga National park. The National park is located in the foothills of Kumaon in the state of Uttarkhand in India. How to Reach Jim Corbett National Park?
Jim Corbett National Park is situated in the state of Uttarkhand in the northern parts of India.
The nearest airport is Delhi which is locatyed at about 300 kilometers from Dhikala. There is a small domestic airport at Phootbagh, Pantnagar which is 50 kilometers away from Corbett. You can travel by road even from the Lucknow airport to Corbett national Park.
If you are travelling by train Ramnagar is the nearest railway station which is located at about 14 kilometers.Ranikhet Express is a daily train which runs overnight between Ramnagar and Delhi. Moradabad is the nearest junction from where you can get connection trains to all parts of India.
Travelling by road is best option to go to orbett National Park as the road journeys are more enjoyable. Even though Delhi is about 300 kilometers to Dhikala, Lucknow and Ramnagar are just about 145 and 51 kilometers. The route is through Hapur, Moradabad and Ramnagar.
