Evolution of technologies
The Cellular mobile radio phone systems, were the pioneer in the cell phone field. These phones were bulky and were used mainly between very short distances.
The 2G cell phone technology, which is still in use, uses the digital voice encoding and decoding technology. This technology is used in both CDMA and also in GSM networks. This technology have seen a lots of improvisation in the areas of bandwidth. The introduction of multimedia helped in enhanced mobile usage. This technology led to the increase in the mobile technology usage.
3G or the third Generation technology is a new technology that allows the network providers to offer a variety of advanced services such as a large spectrum; enhanced voice, data, video services; using of cell phone, emailing, paging, faxing, videoconferencing and also web browsing; high speed broadband connectivity, world wide roaming facility.
This technology can be used both in fixed and portable wireless devices. This system is operable from any location all over the world, including the aircrafts and water crafts. This also allows the people to be connected to others at any time of the day and at all places.
