One can maintain a healthy skin and hair by following some routine and simple methods.

First of all the most important thing for a healthy and beautiful hair and skin is a nutritious diet.Eat plenty of fresh fruits green vegetables dry fruits and nuts and also drink plenty of water.Water is the most essential thing for a healthy skin as it helps to maintain the correct PH balance in the skin and it also flushes out all the impurities from our body.

Do not ever use soaps to wash your face as it tends to remove the natural oil secretion in the skin.Use a good face wash or home made powder to clean your face.If you are using a face wash remember to select one according to your skin type.

Use a good moisturizer after cleaning your face.If you have a dry skin use a moisturizing milk and if your skin is oily use moisturizing lotion or gel which will be milder.

When you go out in sun remember to use a sunscreen lotion or gel as it will protect your skin from harmful rays of sun.Select sunscreen according to your complexion of skin.If you have a very good complexion then buy a sunscreen with SPF 30 otherwise you can buy one with SPF 15 or 20.

Clean your skin regularly with a cleansing milk before going to bed and use a skin toner to tone your skin.Toner helps in closing the open pores of the skin and making your skin firm.

For a thick dark healthy hair again nutritious healthy diet play a vital role.Never skip the breakfast as this gives you energy for the whole day.From the name itself one can make out the importance of breakfast that is breaking the fast in the morning.

Oil your hair at least twice a week and leave it for at least two hours.Then wash the hair with a good shampoo or home made powder.

Remember to use a good hair conditioner after every wash as it provides essential moisture and closes the cuticles of hair,thus avoiding hair fall.

When using conditioner use it only in the lengths of hair and never use it in the scalp.

Do not comb a wet hair as it tend to break easily resulting hair fall.

Massage the scalp in a rotatory motion with the fingertip every night as it increases blood circulation to the scalp.

Never use artificial hair colour or dyes and do not perm or iron the hair as it will permanently damage the roots of hair.
