Before deciding on which type of tile you are going to buy, you must know the exact number of tiles you may require for your floor, or wall.
*For calculating this you should have the exact measure of the area to be covered with tiles, that should be divided by the area of the tile you have chosen. The quotient shall give you the number of tiles you should buy.
*For bathrooms, it is better to go for the rough surface tiles and for other areas depending on whether you like polished ones or matt finished ones you can have your tiles.
*It is better to keep a few tiles extra. This will help in cases where there is a need for replacing a broken tile.
*First decide the fashion in which you want the tiles to be laid. The tiles should be pasted only after you feel that the arrangement is fine.
*To remove dirt, use water or detergent solution. Do not use, concentrated acids.
*With a piece of cloth clean the tiles as often as possible. Remove dirt then and there.
*Do not use scrubbers or brush made of iron.
*To remove grease and other tough stains in your kitchen, spray hot water and soak the entire thing, use lemon juice mixed with salt and apply on the stained places after sometime you can wipe it off.
*In your bathrooms, you may use hot water and then wipe the tiles clean with cloth.
*It is better to put bleaching powder as often as possible in your bathrooms
*Avoid using soap solutions, as it makes the tiles appear very dull in due course.
*Use a door mat in order to avoid sand particles from falling on your tiles and scratching them.
* Take care not to drop sharp or heavy objects on your tiles.
