This is just about Circular journey ticket offered by Indian Railways across India for Indians who travel from one place to another without having to book the tickets from each and every station they stop.
What is Circular Journey ticket?
Circular journey is nothing but a form of operation progressing for passenger by the Indian Railway across India.
If a passenger or group wishes to travel by Indian Railways for long trip
across India, then he/she may use circular journey ticket facility which most of the Indian citizen doesn't know also you can get for Sleeper and A/C class with lesser fare. It is really worth and many of them used to know about it and utilizing these facilities. This operational facility is given by our Indian railways for all Indian citizens which is really flexible, worth, safe and satisfied.
How Circular Journey ticket works?
It has a simple procedure for all to apply, just take a plane white paper and write a normal letter, first mention your Name and "From Address" then mention "To Address" to "The Station master, Circular journey ticket section, C/O Indian Railways, City" name ( from which city you begin it) mention. Then, proceed as below;
Sub: "Applying for Circular journey ticket" follow the below text in next paragraph:
I hereby wish to apply for a Circular journey ticket commencing from 00/00/00 to 00/00/00 (write in your planned duration date - It should be less than 45 days of overall traveling which you can break up your journey partly within this duration and re-reserve it the booking to continue break up journey if you wish to do so) for 1 or 10 persons and their name / age, then write the route for example start to travel from "Chennai-Goa-Mumbai-Amritsar-Delhi-Kanpur-Calcutta-Bhuvaneshwar-Hyderabad-Chennai". Final destination must be your start to travel station; finally you just mention "kindly approve it."
How it works then:
Subject officer or senior station master will then calculate the overall kilometers of your total journey which could be around 2000kms which fare will be around 1200 to 1500 Indian rupees for II sleeper class which is less than if you apply for a separate booking for same class for each station could come more than 2000 rupees.
What passenger has to do?
Once authority approved your letter, you will just have to pay calculated kilometers amount and show it to railway ticket counter to get your booking done on desired date in desired destination. It will be better if you reserve in advance to avail the sleeper class once approved Circular Journey form, keep all the approved document in safe till you return home and it could be booked not only for individual but for a group too.
