Smaller than the Apple ipad and bigger than Apple iphone, Samsung Tab which runs on Android browser 2.2 which supports a large number of applications. It is a one place device which can be used as a mobile phone, messaging device, music player, HD video player, portable internet device, digital camera and it also converts itself as mobile office. Lots of Android applications can be downloaded from the Market place of the device. It have to be said that it is not just a mobile phone, it is not just a pad, it is not just a digital camera, it is not just a music player, but it is an all in one device.
The Galaxy Tab is slightly larger than the touch screen mobile phones and it weighs about 380 gms(a bit heavy though). The whole device operates only through touch screen and it supports onscreen virtual key board. The 7 inch screen gives a great vieweing experience. The Galaxy Tab have 3.1MP camera which is located at the back of the casing and a front camera which is 1.3MP. The images and videos can be recorded, stored and shared. The music player and the radio feature gives great listening experience. The recorded or downloaded videos can be viewed in High Definition video play back which makes the movie viewing experience theatre like. The recorded videos can be easily shared directly to YouTube.
The Samsung Tab allows the user to communicate with friends and relatives using the different communication features like sms, mms,email and social networking(when connected to internet). The Tab comes with a hands free speaker phone and also blue tooth head set and stereo head set. The contacts stores both the phone book storage and also the email storage. One gets an option to sync any number of email account with the phone book so that it is very easy to send sms and also email messages directly. The inbuilt memory of Samsung Tab is either 16GB or 32GB for storage wich can be expanded upto another 32GB.
The inbuilt office feature allows the user to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint (though there is option only to view, the full feature need to be purchased). The USB connectivity option allows the user to connect Samsung Galaxy Tab to be connected with another compatible device for data sharing. The Bluetooth option allows easy pairing and sharing.
Most of the websites fit into the screen of the Galaxy Tab (only thing is the letters are a bit smaller which can be enlarged using pinch feature). The WiFi helps in connecting to hotspots whenever spotted if it is kept on. It is easy to toggle the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS to on and off mode with just a flick of a finger.
Lots of additional softwares including adobe reader can be downloaded to view the PDF documents. The e-book reader connects with kindle store and the books can be purchased or downloaded from there.
Samsung Galaxy Tab is a 3G capable Smartphone, that supports WiFi. With bluetooth connectivity, it connects with all compatible devices. Over all one can say that this is an all in one device, which will make the user do all work that they want to on the move. Best option for sales people and for all those who are constantly travelling.
