Shiv Sagar Restaurant Review While the ambience is simple, the food is simply great. Before I tell you about the food, I suggest you share anything you order. Reason: the food here is very filling and if you share you can enjoy more of the delectable snacks!
On different occasions I have enjoyed the idli-sambhar and rava dosa here. While both these South Indian items can nowhere match the authentic idlis and dosas I have had in Chennai, nevertheless they are good. Service is also efficient.
Last week I ate at this restaurant to try out the famous pav-bhajiand, oh yes! - it is definitely worth a second visit. What was even more fantastic was the samosa-aloo-chaat. This is the most awesome dish I have had here and rates amongst my favourite dishes amongst the many I have had at various restaurants. The samosas are tiny triangular pieces along side potatoes, and the entire lot comes with, naturally, chaat masala. If your mouth doesnt water at the sight of it, your eyes definitely will start watering at the first bite! Why? - because it is quite spicy, so beware! So both in looks, aroma and flavour this is a musty try snack. What is shocking is the absurd price - Rs.55/- - which I consider ridiculous.
