Olives, Royapettah Review
Olives have come to Chennai too. Chennais first 4 star rated pure muticusine vegetarian restaurant is located in Deccan Plaza in Royapettah. When we went there Rajastan Food festival was going on in this one and only eatery of Deccan Plaza. The decor and ambience made us feel that it can hold so many people and we saw that happenning too.
But we were told that one can get right from veg burger, sandwiches to hot jelabis and semiya payasam.
The staff were so courteous and friendly. Helped us with the menu to choose and their suggestion of moongdal halwa was too good. We loved the semiya payasam with extra cashew that was kept seperately to be sprinkled.
How can I stop without saying about the Thandai or my favourite Pineapple salad. I have never tasted Pineapple like that. Sweet Pineapple, with a dash of salt and chille.
A great luncheon experience, it is a good eat out newly opened in Chennai. One should not miss it.
If you are just going to have your food there, be careful, if you are going for lunch especially, your car or two wheeler seats will be steaming hot as they dont allow the restaurant visitors to park their vehicles in their under ground parking.
