Goa Portuguesa Review Like its associate restaurants, Culture Curry and Diva Maharashtra, this restaurant has a good ambience but highly priced food. So when a relative offered to take us for a treat, naturally we jumped at the offer.
We skipped the soups and went straight to the starters. We first selected the peas & pototo chops. These are small potato dumplings stuffed liberally with pease. Yummy, we all agreed! To eat with the chapatis (thin rotis) we had a potato veg. dish that comprised of potato cubes served in onion gravy and a mixed veg. dish. This was followed up with a simple jeera rice.
The best part of the meal was the cooling drink that we had last: the sol kadi. This is a really fantastic preparation of coconut milk, kokum, and garlic & it comes garnished with coriander leaves. This is one of the rare restaurants which not only has it on the menu but happens to be really very good.
Even though a meal would cost over Rs. 700/- I would still recommed a visit at least once.
