Nokia E5 Review

The Nokia E5 looks like a pretty ordinary cell phone - no fancy colours, no shiny exterior. It has the usual QWERTY keypad and the usual slots for charging the battery, a micro USB slot and a hands-free slot. Even the Nokia E5s interface is nothing extraordinary. Like any other phone, it enables you to coordinate the contacts in your phonebook with those online thanks to the incorporation of the Facebook application.

Where the Nokia E5 stands out is its superb functionality. Since it incorporates a variety of apps, the Nokia E5 is great for both work & pleasure!

Here are the top 5 features of the Nokia E5:

1. The buttons of the Nokia E5 keypad are not miniscule & rough to use, but large enough and soft enough for a genuinely user-friendly touch.

2. The Nokia E5 has a wonderful audio player. Whether you are listening to an Internet radio or tuning in to FM radio or listening to downloaded music, the clarity is incredible.

3. Connectivity features of the Nokia E5 is equally awesome. You get 3G, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, EDGE, and Bluetooth. The browser is very good, as are the apps: YouTube, Twitter, MySpace, Hi5, Ovi chat, Gtalk....quite a long list! Whats more, the Nokia E5 even has GPS and Ovi Maps 3.0 which comes real handy for locating your destination in an unknown place.

4. For work-related work, the Nokia E5 has the complete QuickOffice version, so you can quickly make an MS Office document and edit it too. In addition, there is a PDF reader and a search option (which is available on all Nokia cell phones).

5. The heart of the Nokia E5 is its battery - and this is really exceptional. The Nokia E5 battery gives a talk time which goes up to an impressive 5 hours+ and once you charge it, you can spend 2 full days or more using all the functions - messaging, calling, listening to music, recording a video, working, etc.

So whats the catch? Well, the disadvantage of the Nokia E5 is its hefty price tag of nearly Rs.11,000/-. For a lesser price, I would probably get the same features in another cell phone!
