Epson LQ-680Pro Review
This Dot Matrix Printer, Epson LQ- 680 Pro, is a 106 column 24 pins which has a speed of 310 cps. It can print 1 original and 5 carbon copies at a time and has an input buffer of 64 KB.
This is a networkable printer and has an on-screen display. The Printer also has other features like an auto platen gap adjuster and an auto paper changer.
Both Friction feed and the traction feed of papers are available. That should be useful in the offices where both these types are used.
The auto platen gap adjuster sets the platen gap to suit the type of paper being used and this prevents paper misalignment and jamming that can cause problems during remote operation.
It has fabric ribbon cartridge type and has about a life expectancy of 2 million
characters. Power consumption is also very less, only about 42 watts while operating the printer.
Epson is a well known company and the after sales service should not be a problem. So it should be a safer bet for you to buy this model.
