    Nano issue resolved

The Nano issue has been cleared for Tata Motors to roll out the world's cheapest car Nano as planned following a far-reaching pact between the West Bengal government and the opposition Trinamool Congress here Sunday night over the disputed farmland acquired for the project at Singur.

West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi mediated the talks, held over three days since Friday, that finally put an end to the protest that had started 28 months ago following the acquisition of 997.11 acres of land at Singur, 40 km from here, for the car plant and ancillary units

    Dear Sudharsana,
issues of this nature, where political interests are there, you can expect little relief in toto. It is hard to find political parties that fight for national or people's interests. The issue is far from over. It is sad. We can do nothing about this. Local people in Singur should raise their voice in unison whether they want Nano in their place or not. If we get to have their voice then things will automatically fall in line.

    Hi Sudhersana,
The talks have broken down again and it seems that the Nano unit will move to Karnataka from Singur. What a sad and embarrassing end to a booming West Bengal and it's CPI(M) led government. This is sad! Now most big companies which had planned to invest in West Bengal have rethinked their strategy and decided not to proceed ahead with West Bengal. What a tragic end! I hope this is a lesson for everyone. Why parties like the Trinamool Congress exist as these are the parties working to stop India's development on the economic front. Let's hope these parties fall down fast and the BJP makes a quick entry to West Bengal.
