Google buzz was introduced mainly to compete with Twitter and Facebook and because iof simplicity in the usage, I guess Google Buzz will pus twitter and face book to back foot.
As soon as you enter your G mail account, there will be an option called "Buzz" and there you can give the updates, and if you have followers, many will get the updates instantaneously.

It seems google is trying really hard to compete in social networking with Facebook and Twitter. The launch of Buzz is bit late but never the less it will obviously gain some quick market share due to its integration with Gmail. Google's first try at social networking was Orkut, which was very less popular in comparison to Facebook and that too in few countries like India and Brazil. So, they have again come up with Buzz. Buzz's interface seems to be quite simple. And recently they have made some upgrades to take care of the user's privacy. Over all, it is simple and easy to start with Buzz.
