Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd was suggested to me in my college and as far as I know this is the best book for under graduates and will cover almost all essential parts of Organic Chemistry which a under graduate must know. Usually most of the colleges in India wont opt for foreign authors, but I would say that if you want to master organic chemistry then this is the must needed book in your shelf. But for post graduates this may not be useful as many of their syllabus will not be covered in it, ...
