 Tamdil Lake is located at about 85 kilometers from Aizawl near Saitual Village and is the largest lake in Mizoram. Tamdil lake is a natually beautiful lake amidst cool and green dense forests. This is an ideal picnic spot and boating facilities are also available for the visitors and tourists. The Tamdil Lake is surrounded by tropical evergreen and moist deciduous forests namely Sehenia Wallichii, Chikrassia tabularis, Albizzia sp, Artocarpus sp, Merus sp and bamboos.
Tamdil lake is also a fish farm, you can also find lots of aquatic fauna consisting of fish and prawns. You can also find other fauna in the forests around the lake like Bear, Deer, wild pigs and varities of birds too.
The visitors who come to the lake spend most of the time here, boating in the lake.

If you are travelling by road you can take the National Highway 54 which connects Aizawl with the rest of the country through Silchar.
