Accessories to make your hair look beautiful

Are you looking for some accessories for your hair? Check out some of the best products available in the market to make your hair look better and fashionable.

Remember the school rule to have braided plaits and hair bands? That was the first time you probably used hair accessories – to provide a neat look and keep unruly hair in place. Nowadays, hair accessories have become a fashion statement in themselves, especially jewelled hair accessories. There is less concern about neatness and more concern about style!

Types of Hair Accessories:
* Hair clips: These are the most commonly used hair accessories. From cute doll-shaped patterns and hearts to sophisticated floral patterns, there are hair accessories for all age groups.
* Hair pins: These need to be used carefully as even those with soft tips can tend to be a bit poky. Like hair clips, they come in a variety of colours and sizes.
* Hair bands: These hair accessories control the hair from becoming a fringe over your face and blocking your vision. At school they were limited to a single colour. Otherwise you can choose between a really wide range of colours and types. There are plain plastic ones to extra flexible and stetcheable designer types.
* Beaded bands: On a trip to Chennai, I visited the SaravanaStores and came across some really pretty hair accessories – small beaded bands. The tiny multicoloured beads on the bands were arranged in such a way that they formed patterns – zigzag, floral, etc. These can be worn to hold the pony tail hairstyle or at the end of a plaited hair. It also looks great as a wrist band!
* Hair combs: These hair accessories are a big hit amongst teenagers due to their attractive designs. You can choose between butterflies and birds to superheroes and floral designs.
* Hair sticks: These hair accessories are becoming increasingly popular in Asian countries where ladies tie up their hair in a bun. The stick pin that is used to hold the bun in place add style to the hair.
* Threads: Slim, multicoloured threads are sometimes used instead of the old-fashioned ribbons for plaited hair.

Remember to:
* Remove your hair accessory before going for a swim and before going to bed.
* Remove any hair strands caught in the hair accessory before putting it away.
* Keep your hair accessories separate from your jewellery to avoid entanglement and spoiling the jewellery.

Hair accessories are able to transform you hairstyle and your overall appearance in a wonderful way. So choose them with care!
