Here is my opinion about Acer 4720Z .The keyboard is fragile and make a feeling that keys are going to break.A stronger key board is better for rough use .A lot of short cut keys for power savingIt have a 5 in 1 card reader and IEEE 1394 port .So Camcorders or Digital cameras users have a lot of benefit from it.Dont expect much more quality sound..It has a Webcam which allow to capture video at 640 x 480 resolution. Which is more than enough for capture picture and video conferencing over the internet.I have a problem with the screen is very glossy.And it is affected by scratches. The highest resolution displayable by the screen is 1280×800. You can see the contents of the screen from any angle .The battery charge lasts more than 2 hours Read complete review

It has a better pixel resolution of 1280 x 800 dpi which sounds good, which supports good gaming and video watching. The main advantage of this system is the five in one digital media reader. This is an additional facility which adds more efficiency to the product. It has good video card memory of 358 MB which sounds good for gaming and best visual performance. There are almost all type of ports available including four USB ports which enhances the usability and compatibility with various type of systems. Also the presence of bluetooth and infrared communications still increases the systems usage with different types of mobile and PDA devices. Read complete review

Review By: Sidharth    Review Date: 11 Nov 2008    The Acer Aspire 4720, is an affordable machine that comes with an Intel Pentium Dual Core T2370 1.6 GHz processor, a small 14.1? LCD screen, WiFi, Touchpad, a 5 in 1 card reader, DVD read and write, a built-in webcam, 120GB SATA hard drive, on board buttons for quick multimedia and connectivity interaction. I don't quite get the on board feature, there are a number of them on the keyboard and you can see there is a Bluetooth button with the Bluetooth logo on it but the product doesn't come with a Bluetooth at all. Although the Bluetooth driver is pre-installed along with the operating system it has no use unless you probably have to purchase a Bluetooth USB dongle separately. If you are on budget constraints, this product is a winner and can be really tempting, it gets the job done at its high specifications, but what if you are unlucky enough to have picked the lemons. Well, if 2 out of 3 of these laptops just go down and fail on you in less than a year, in my opinion it's never worth it's low price. No wonder they offered this one real cheap on the market.
