Review: Interiors are so well crafted & beautiful!
Review By: Aira    Review Date: 13 Aug 2009

Honda Civic Hybrid is beautiful in style and it definitely look futuristic. I think the choice could differ, one can love it or may hate it because of its price. As far as feature is concerned the feature is excellent. We can say that the feature are excellent because of comfort layer and feelings while driving and sitting inside as well. The style is so nice and appreciated. There is a mixed feeling though, it has almost a minivan look to it, body design is good with conventional Honda Civics along with bold front end styling. The interiors is so appealing and well-crafted and is admirable when it comes to dashboard and displays.

You can easily see the visual checks of speed. Things inside are easy to operate, one can get little difficult when access first but gradually it is very easy to handle all the functions. It has an automatic climate control and optional navigation. The features are really very good. Well, this is true that there is no folding rear seat in the Honda Civic Hybrid, because the battery pack lives between the rear seats and the trunk. Power locks and windows are standard, along with a tilt/telescope steering wheel. It has dual airbags, side and side curtain airbags, and anti-lock brakes. It is a very livable fuel-economy champ. By comfort and quality this car is absolutely good. The materials used in this car o of high quality.

Well, the car has been priced at Rs 21.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), powered by a 1.3 litre petrol engine and electric motor. The car runs on iVTEC engine which produced Max power of 95 PS @ 6000 rpm. The car is very spacious. There are lots of space on dashboard. Five person can sit very comfortably in this car. But overall, the car has a decent interior space, looks very nice, with comfortable seats.

Review: A car for Mother Nature
Review By: vk    Review Date: 16 Aug 2009

Depletion of the ozone layer as a result of global warming has resulted in companies scrambling to bring out environment-friendly products. This is no less true of car manufacturers. Fuel-guzzling vehicles are a major cause of global warming, and car companies have been gearing up to provide fourwheelers that will keep Mother Nature smiling. One such company is Honda, which upgraded its Civic model and launched the Honda Civic Hybrid.

The Honda Civic Hybrid at first sight looks like the usual 2-door spacious sedan, with power windows and a central door locking system. However, it has a great stylish exterior that sets it apart from other sedans. It comes in 2 colours: Alabaster Silver & Premium Pearl White.

Inside, the dashboard is also stylish. The instrument panel is a visual delight, with all the guage-readers properly spaced out. The stereo system is not too bad, but most people prefer extra loud audio of the deafening kind for them, they would need to install better speakers!

The Honda Civic Hybrid operates on both an engine & an electric motor. Its main environment-friendly feature is the ‘idle-stop' feature. Lets suppose you stop at the roadside to answer your mobile. Instead of letting the engine idle away and thereby result in polluting the environment with the cars emissions, the engine turns off automatically. This automatically stops the emissions. Whats more, it saves fuel!

The best feature of the Honda Civic Hybrid is the provision of air bags. Generally, a car will have airbags only on the frontal side for the driver or for the driver & front-seated passenger. In the Honda Civic Hybrid, there are side air bags too for the driver & front passenger.

When launched in India, the Honda Civic Hybrid had a very high price tag of over Rs.21lakh. Although the vehicle did get buyers, the price kept away many customers who would otherwise rush to buy a fuel-saving vehicle. Hence, in November last year, Honda drastically brought down the price to Rs.13.36lakhs, but this was for a limited period.

It is not sure what the exact price now, but lets hope the company keeps a reduced price. Mother Nature needs some more smiles!

Honda civic hybrid is a real hybrid car that suits the needs of the present day world.Gracious interiors are present with an idle stop feature.160 watt audio along with six speaker surrounding system is another fantastic feature in this car.Honda linked navigation system with voice recognition is an added feature to this car.For the classy and sleek exterior look, the Honda Hybrid is fitted with High Tech A rear deck lid spoiler, power side mirrors of body color along with integrated turn indicators.

Honda civic is a 5 seat comfortable vehicle, the front space with regards to headroom and legroom is quite spacious compared to rear head and leg room space.4-wheel anti-lock brakes one (ABS), Ignition disable, standard airbags are provided for special security of the customers.

Other added features in Honda civic hybrid car is the automatic air conditioning, power with 2 stage unlock door locks, telescopic steering. These are great assets provided for this car.

Hybrid has a four-cylinder gasoline engine accompanied by an electric motor/generator.Due to this extra feature even when the gasoline is empty, car works on the electric power that will be generated by the motors. It has an extra fuel economy about 45 mpg and it is an environment friendly car.

Positives:

* More fuel efficiency than the other competitors for this car.
* Electric power that supports the gasoline as an extra fuel for this car.
* Less noise and more refined when compared to it`s previous generation cars.

Negatives:

* Design of the interior and exterior parts which may look strange.
* Uncomfortable front seats.
* Some beeping noises on long standing.

It has really great looks. For a product in this category and range i.e 8 lakhs to 12 lakhs it is the best car in this segment. The stylish international looks gives you a cue to yearn for it. The engine
is really good. I need not say it, b'cos it is a Honda product. It is better than the Honda City but with the new version of Honda City which has been launched recently it is quite similar. It gives a bit less legroom for both the front seats and back seats. The additional features which make it unique are the state of art steering wheel, the Dual Airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Automatic Climate Control, 6-CD intergated Audio with 6 speakers, Leather Upholstry etc. But one problem which i took notice is the ground clearance which is of European standards. It means for Indian roads it is comparatively less.It has a standard fuel consumption. Really a great car for smooth and comfortable riding.

The 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid shares most of the features with the Toyota Prius, and it is going to be one of the strongest contenders of 2009 Prius Hybrid model. The 2009 Civic Hybrid comes with the 1.3 liter I4 engine that produces 110 horse power of throughput. The car can achieve mileage of 40 miles per gallon in the city streets, while it delivers 45 miles per gallon on the highway roads. It is equipped with the Integrated Motor Assist system. Based on the analysis of safety features and the extent of reliability provided by the vehicle, the new Honda Civic Hybrid was rated second out of 33 Contenders that will hit the market in 2009.

The latest 2009 Civic comes with the leather trimmed interiors, which gives it stunning appearance. The USB audio interface in the vehicle makes easy to play the music and supports WMA, MP3 and AAC music files. The other feature like the satellite linked navigation, along with the voice recognition is provided to help in navigation while youre on the move. However, the navigation system is provided on in the vehicles released in markets of United States.

The car is certified by the California Air Resources Board under the advanced technology partial zero emission vehicle. The wheels on the new Civic Hybrid are flat and they produce low amounts of drag. The interior regions in the vehicle are very similar to that of the Civic 1.8 model, except the instrument cluster. The other feature in the vehicle is the AUTO STOP light, which glows whenever the engine in the vehicle is shut down.
