Review: Good Study of Base Level
Review By: Saswato A Chatterjee    Review Date: 05 Apr 2010

The Organic Chemistry introduced by Morrison and Boyd have laid down the crucial points for guiding the students or new readers to generate accuracy in different levels of organic structural as well as developed the theoritical concepts of different structures.

The book not only has created an interests in the new comers, but also has laid the foundation of Competitive Level which will rise the bar of a students capability of learning. Conceptually, the organic chemistry is a bit tough for students who grab up their first attention towards it, but plays a major role in developing the minds for various entrance examinations which require the logical effort to rise up through the problems.

Moreover the Book by Morrison and Boyd, has involved the discussion of various topics of Organic Chemistry that has been asked over the years in IIT-JEE, AIEEE, GUJCET, AIPMT, AISSCE, WB-JEE, etc. and helpful even for school examinations. It is best for an ISC and CBSE students. It has another full length book involved with this book for further clarification of doubts involved in Organic Chemistry by the students

Review: Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd - Review
Review By: ganesh babu    Review Date: 11 Mar 2011

Organic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd was suggested to me in my college and as far as I know this is the best book for under graduates and will cover almost all essential parts of Organic Chemistry which a under graduate must know. Usually most of the colleges in India wont opt for foreign authors, but I would say that if you want to master organic chemistry then this is the must needed book in your shelf. But for post graduates this may not be useful as many of their syllabus will not be covered in it, but they can always have this to have a better idea about the basics.

True,Morrison and boyyd is definitly a good book for organic chemisty. But as far it use for prepration of IIT_Jee is concerned it is not the perfect choice. When IIT was subjective this book was best choice, but with time pattern has changed a lot and also many more book have come in marked which are specifically written for jee. I will suggest to take those book of TMH , Arihant etc. , one should keep this book but only to refer when you have a doubt on particular concept and need a indepth study.
