The Gypsy Corner is, as implied in its name, a ‘corner' eatery located next to its equally famous Chinese restaurant ( Nebula ). Situated just a few footsteps away from the Shivaji Park maidan , its specialty is Maharashtrian cuisine . However, it also serves fast food such as pizzas, burgers, a variety of sandwiches, baked potatoes and nachos. It is famous for its pav-bhaji . In fact, as you approach, it is the intoxicating smell of the mixed vegetables and bread loaf being heated on an open tava that draws you towards it!

Good: The pav bhaji & kothimbir vadis
Bad: Many items are over-priced lack of parking space in the area
On my first visit to the Gypsy Corner I ordered sabudans wadas (sago-filled deep-fried patties for Rs.40/-). My nieces ordered sev puri (Rs. 30/-) and the special pav bhaji (Rs.50/-)- the eatery is famous for this dish. Their orders arrived at our table very quickly, while I waited and waited and waited….
